‼️ This is a general one day plan! If you only have a TOTAL of one day to spend in London, say on a long layover, I suggest a different approach to your day (coming soon!)

🌅 MORNING

- Start your day at Big Ben and Westminster Bridge (by at least 9:00am!)
-Visit Palace of Westminster, House of Parliament
-Visit Westminster Abbey, earliest entry time is 9:30am (9:00am on Saturday), £29. Early timeslots fill up quickly so book a ticket as soon as possible!
-Walk over to Buckingham Palace for the Changing of the Guard at 10:45am. Arrive early for a good viewing spot! 💂‍♀️

🕐 AFTERNOON

- Grab some lunch near Buckingham Palace 🍴
- Walk through Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens to Kensington Palace
-Consider visiting inside Kensington Palace, £24.00
-Head to the Victoria and Albert Museum and spend a few hours exploring all of the exhibits!

⏩ You may consider skipping a visit inside of Westminster Abbey if you want to get a great viewing spot for The Changing of the Guard.

⏩ You can make this a museum day by also visiting the Natural History Museum next to Victoria and Albert. You will likely need to skip most of Hyde Park and Kensington Palace to fit in both museums.

Let's face it, this spot isn't really a secret anymore, BUT that doesn't mean it isn't still a great spot for a photo!

⏩ EXACTLY HOW TO GET THERE

- Get off at Waterloo Station OR the St Thomas' Hospital/County Hall bus stop

- Walk towards the Westminster Bridge, but turn left and go down the stairs immediately before the bridge

- Walk back towards the bridge once you are at the bottom of the stairs

- You've made it! Super easy, right?

‼️TIPS

- Arrive early if you don't want to wait long. We arrived by 9:30am during peak summer tourism and there were only 2 other people waiting

- Be kind to others who want to take photos here, don't hog the spot for an extended period of time if others are waiting.

- Be prepared for foot traffic under the bridge, people are trying to get places!

I just wanted to recreate this photo at The Tower of London from a family vacation, and send it to my parents as a joke. My friends kept staring at me and making me laugh.

Needless to say, it did not go as well as planned 😂

🌅Morning:

- Start your day at the Tower of London when it opens - 9 am
- Explore the Tower of London (approximately 3 hours)

🕐 Afternoon:

- Grab some lunch near the Tower of London
- Visit Tower Bridge - explore the inside if you have time!
- Head to the Sky Garden for a panoramic view (make sure you book free tickets ahead of time - check my last reel for info!)
- Cross over London Bridge to explore Borough Market
- Stop by Shakespeare’s Globe on the way to the Tate Modern

🌃 Evening:

- Explore the modern art at the Tate Modern (It’s FREE!)
- Head across the Millennium Bridge to see St. Paul’s Cathedral
- Take an evening cruise on the Thames or grab dinner along the river!

⏩If you want to explore the inside of St. Paul’s Cathedral you may need to alter the day to visit there after the Sky Garden as the cathedral closes at 4:30 pm on most days.

You can also skip the Sky Garden in favor of other observation decks!
